SONAR new music ensemble premiere


et tenebrae factae sunt in terra, my newest work for chamber ensemble will be premiered by the SONAR new music ensemble this Friday, December 13 at 8:00 p.m. in Old St. Paul's Church; Downtown Baltimore. The concert features six world premieres by Baltimore area composers.

Robert Campbell Composition Prize


My setting of Robert Burns' O My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose for chorus and piano was awarded the Robert Campbell Compostion Prize as the winning composition in the Ithaca College Choral Composition Contest on Saturday, November 16. A wonderfully expressive performance of the work was given by the Ithaca High School Chorus on the Ithaca College campus. Kristin Zaryski, conductor; Kathryn White, piano.

My setting of Robert Burns' O My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose for chorus and piano has been named a finalist in the annual Ithaca College Choral Composition Competition. The piece will be presented in a concert this Saturday (Nov. 16) at 7:00 p.m. in Ford Hall on the Ithaca College campus.

DASOboe premieres Two Movements for Oboe Trio

On Thursday, October 3, DASOboe gave the world premiere of my Two Movements for Oboe Trio in Seattle, WA. DAS Oboe perormed five modern oboe trios, including four world premieres, on the Wayward Music Series. The program included music by Jin-Hwa Choi, Sean Doyle, Gary Powell Nash, Michael Rickelton, and Ursula Sahagian, performed by oboists Chris Aagaard, Robert Knoll, Bhavani Kotha, and Ursula Sahagian.
